NORMAN, Okla. – South Mountain moved to No. 1 in the final fall Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll. The Cougars received two first-place votes.
Mississippi Gulf Coast, who had held the top spot the three previous rankings, dropped to second despite two first-place votes. Third-ranked Murray State (OK) earned the final first-place ballot. Tyler JC, Meridian, Kirkwood and Mesa remained in spots 4-7, respectively. Parkland and Walters State tied at No. 8. East Central entered the ranking at No. 10.
Copiah Lincoln and Southeast CC dropped from the ranking.
The first spring poll will be released February 16.
