NORMAN, Okla. – Texas received 16 of 25 first-place votes to grab the No. 1 spot in the preseason Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Longhors, who were also the top-ranked team in college golf to close the regular season, finished runner-up at the NCAA Championships.

Southern California was the only other team to garner multiple first-place votes, four, and are ranked second. Illinois received a first-place vote and is fourth followed by Oklahoma State. Fifth-ranked Vanderbilt and No. 6 Florida also collected a first-place tally. LSU was seventh while Stanford, with one first-place vote, Georgia and Oklahoma complete the top 10.

Defending NCAA champion Oregon was No. 15 and received the remaining first-place vote.
