NEW YORK, NY—The latest Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and III, along with the NJCAA poll, will appear in the May 2, 2011 issue of Golf World. Following up its No. 1 ranking in the inaugural Golf World/Nike Golf NJCAA men’s coaches poll last month, Indian Hills retained the top spot in this month’s edition, claiming three of the eight first-place votes.

Central Alabama, however, wasn’t far behind, finishing just a single point back in second place and earning two first-place votes of its own, the only other junior college school to receiving multiple first-place votes.

Meridian moved from fourth to third in the poll while New Mexico JC and McLennan round out the top five.

Darton and Dodge City finished ninth and 10th in the most recent poll, becoming the first two teams to work their way into the NJCAA top-10.
