Lester Claims NAIA Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

SILVIS, Ill. – Rowan Lester of Texas Wesleyan claimed the NAIA Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NAIA Championships.

Lester was off to a quick start in round one, getting as low as 5-under before finishing with three straight bogeys. The 2-under 69 still placed him tied for first after the opening round. Lester moved into sole possession of first with a three-shot lead after a second round 72. With Another 72 in round three his lead shrunk to one stroke. Lester improved his lead during the final round to claim NAIA medalist honors by three shots.

The win was Lester’s first of the season.
