Gibson Division III Winner of Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

SILVIS, Ill. – Josh Gibson of Hope claimed the Division III Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the Division III National Championships.

Gibson was tied for 17th after an opening round 1-over 73. A second round 73 move him up eight spots to ninth. After the third round, he moved up one spot into a tie for eighth. Gibson closed with 5-under 67 to force a playoff with Wittenberg’s Garrett Brickley. Gibson claimed national medalist honors after winning a one-hole playoff.

The win was Gibson’s fifth of the season.
