Prater Division II Winner of Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation 2014

NORMAN, Okla. – Colin Prater of Colorado Mesa has been named recipient of the Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation in Division III men’s golf.

Prater was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year at the RMAC Championship Tournament and has a 71.78 stroke average for the season. He has placed first or tied for first in three tournaments this season and was also named an All-RMAC First Team selection.

Mario Beltran of Barry, West Florida’s Esteban Castro, Ryan Gendron of St. Leo and Western New Mexico’s Harry Wetton joined Prater on the All-Freshmen Team.
