Maguire Named to United States Palmer Cup Team

NORMAN, Okla. – Jack Maguire of Florida State has been named to the United States Palmer Cup team. The annual Ryder Cup-style competition will be played June 26-28 at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England. Maguire replaced Cameron Wilson.

Maguire won two tournaments and finished in the top 10 in eight of 11 events in his freshman season. With a stroke average of 70.79, he is the second-highest ranked freshman in the country at No. 14 according to Golfstat, and is the third-highest from the ACC. At the USF Invitational in March, Maguire carded the lowest round (62,-10) and the lowest tournament score in relation to par (-16) in Florida State history. He was named ACC Freshman of the Year and to the All-ACC team in April.
