Sylven is 2022 NCAA Division II Winner of Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award

DEARBORN, Mich. – Joel Sylven of Missouri-St. Louis claimed the 2022 NCAA Division II Arnold Palmer National Individual Champion Award for earning medalist honors at the NCAA Division II National Championship. 

Sylven defeated Indianapolis’ Keegan Bronnenberg on the first playoff hole for the title. Sylven, who was tied for 24th heading into the second round, shot a two-under 70 each of the last two rounds to move up the leaderboard. While both he and Bronnenberg shot two-over on the back nine to create the playoff, Sylven birdied the first playoff hole to win. 

The win is Sylven’s fourth of the season.
