Svensson Division II Winner of Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation

NORMAN, Okla. – Adam Svensson of Barry has been named recipient of the Phil Mickelson Award presented by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation as the most outstanding freshman in Division II men’s golf.

Svensson played only during the spring portion of the season but was one of the best golfers in Division II during that stretch. He recorded top 10 finishes in seven of his eight events, highlighted by back-to-back runner-up showings at the Southeastern Collegiate and Bobcat Invitational. Also a PING First Team All-America selection, Svensson was previously named first-team All-Sunshine State Conference and Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year.

Midwestern’s Santiago Gomez, Sam Johnston of Oklahoma Christian, Nova Southeastern’s Hunter O’Mahony and Dixie State’s Kenny You joined Svennson on the All-Freshmen Team.
