Barry Retains Top Spot in Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches' Poll


 

NEW YORK, NY?NEW YORK, NY?The first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Coaches? Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the March 1 issue of Golf World. Barry remains the number one team in the poll, earning 10 of the 18 first-place votes.

The Buccaneers had two wins in the fall and then opened their spring schedule with a third-place finish at the Matlock Collegiate Classic. Barry has yet to finish worse than third in all five tournaments it?s played during the 2009-10 season.

Rounding out the top-five are Georgia College (No. 2), Chico State (No. 3), Nova Southeastern (No. 4) and North Alabama (No. 5).
 
Nova Southeastern and Lander (No. 8) moved into the top-10, after being Nos. 13 and 16, respectively, in the previous coaches? poll.

West Florida (No. 14), Flagler (No. 21), Wayne State (No. 23) and CSU-Stanislaus (No. 25) moved into the top-25.
