Bubba Watson and Dave Jennings Elected to NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame

The 2011 NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame inductees will include current PGA Tour player Bubba Watson and current Central Alabama Community College head coach Dave Jennings. Both men were selected thru a nationwide vote of Division 1 NJCAA Junior College Golf Coaches.

Bubba Watson attended Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minnette, Alabama and transferred to the University Of Georgia where he completed his college degree as well as helping the Bulldogs win the 1999 NCAA team championship. Watson is a two time winner on the PGA Tour (2010 Framers Insurance Open and 2011 Travelers Championship). He was also a member of the 2010 Ryder Cup team. At the time of this release Bubba was ranked number 11 on the 2011 PGA Tour Money list with $1.75 million in prize money.

Dave Jennings has been the Men's Golf Coach at Central Alabama Community College since 2001. His accomplishments include: reinstating the CACC Men’s Golf Team in 2001, 5 NJCAA Region XXII Championships, 3 NJCAA District IV Championships, 3 NJCAA All-Academic Teams, 5 NJCAA Region Coach of the Year, 4 NJCAA District Coach of the Year honors, 3 PING All-Region Coach of the Year and the 2010 Eaton Golf Pride NJCAA D-1 National Coach of the Year. Eight of his former players achieved All-American status. Since 2007 Jennings has been the NJCAA Division 1 Golf Coaches Association Vice President and then President while also holding the position as the NJCAA Representative and Advisory Board Member for the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Both Watson and Jennings will be inducted into the 2011 NJCAA Golf Hall of Fame on May 17 at the NJCAA Division 1 Golf Championship in Odessa, Texas.
