Oklahoma City Holds Top Spot in Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches' Poll

 

NEW YORK, NY?The fourth and final Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches? Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  Oklahoma City recaptured the number one ranking from British Columbia in the final poll, earning two of the nine first place votes.

The Stars finished third at the UT-San Antonio Fall Classic, a Division I tournament, after finishing third at the Sam Houston State Men?s Invitational (also a D-I event). They also won the U.C. Ferguson Classic in October.

British Columbia dropped to number two, but the Thunderbirds did receive six first-place votes. BC also finished third in a recent Division I tournament to close out the fall.

 
Rounding out the top-five are Oklahoma Christian (No. 3), Wayland Baptist (No. 4) and Berry (No. 5). 

Johnson & Wales (No. 8) cracked the top-10, after being ranked 11th in the previous coaches? poll. Southeastern (No. 19), Indiana Wesleyan (No. 23) and Missouri Valley (No. 24) moved into the top-25.
