Oklahoma Christian New No. 1 Team in NAIA Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches Poll

 

NEW YORK, NY?The final Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches? Poll of the fall season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).  Oklahoma Christian has replaced Oklahoma City as the top team, thanks to a third-place finish at the UTSA Roadrunner Invitational (Oct. 29-30), a tournament with 12 Division I schools.

  

Previously this fall, the Eagles won the Chick-Fil-A College Invitational (Oct. 14-16) and the Kiawah Invitational (Sept. 9-11). Oklahoma Christian received four of seven first-place votes. Rounding out the top-five are Oklahoma City (No. 2), British Columbia (T-3), Point Loma Nazarene (T-3) and Berry (No. 5).

 

Lindenwood (No. 9) is the sole team to jump into the top-ten, after being ranked No. 11 in the previous coaches? poll. Campbellsville (No. 15), Concordia (Ore.) (No. 21) and CSU-East Bay (No. 22) have moved into the top-25.
