West Florida Replaces Florida Southern as Top Team

 

NEW YORK, NY?The second Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches? Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the March 16 issue of Golf World.

 

West Florida, number seven in the previous poll, has claimed the top spot from Florida Southern after dominating the field at last week?s 57th Southern California Intercollegiate, winning by 27 shots. All five starters finished in the top 11 individually, led by senior Leonardo Di Marino?s second place showing. The Argonauts? next event is next week?s Southeastern Collegiate in Georgia.

Rounding out the top five are: Florida Southern (No.2); Barry (No.3); Columbus State (No.4); St. Edward?s (No.5).
