Brouse Wins Labron Harris Sr. Award Presented by E-Z-GO
Purdue head coach recipient of honor presented to Coach and PGA Professional

NORMAN, Okla. ? Devon Brouse, head men?s and women?s golf coach and director of golf operations at Purdue and a member of the Indiana PGA Section has been named the recipient of the Labron Harris Sr. Award presented by E-Z-GO in cooperation with The PGA of America announced the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The Harris Award is presented to the college or high school coach and PGA Professional whose support of the game through teaching, coaching and involvement in the community has helped ensure the continued growth of the game and represent the finest qualities the game has to offer.

"It?s obviously an honor to be selected by one?s peers for such an award," said Brouse. "Coach Harris was an icon in our sport and set a high benchmark for everyone to aspire. I look forward to receiving this honor and upholding the standards of the award."

A four-time conference coach of the year, Brouse has led his teams to seven conference championships and 29 NCAA championship appearances. He has also earned region/district coach of the year honors three times and led his teams to two regional championships. In addition to his coaching duties for both the men?s and women?s golf teams at Purdue, Brouse is responsible for overseeing the operations for the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, one of the finest in college golf. A Class A member of the PGA of America since 1982, Brouse initiated the "Growth of the Game" program at Purdue which has PGA professionals teaching university golf classes.

"It?s a huge task to serve as both the director of golf for a 36-hole facility and as the men?s and women?s golf coach for a very successful Division I golf program. Devon has done an outstanding job in this role at Purdue and we applaud E-Z-GO and the Golf Coaches Association of America for recognizing him with this award."
