The USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship has been played since 1975.

2003 USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship

For over 25 years, the USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship has showcased elite college golfers representing their respective countries in international competition.

The inaugural matches took place in 1975 with Masahiro Kuramoto and Curtis Strange squaring off as the Americans defeated the Japanese, 26-14.

Former U.S. players include Brad Faxon, Juli Inkster, Davis Love III, Steve Stricker, Bob Tway, Scott Verplank and many other tour players.

The 2003 USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship was contested July 16-18 at Verde Sano Golf Club with Team USA winning 36-24.

The United States leads the series in this medal match play event 21-6.
