European Palmer Cup Team Announced 
Golfers from three countries to represent Europe 

 

 

NORMAN, Okla. ?

The European team for the 2003 Palmer Cup has been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The European team will compete against the U.S. July 7-11 at The Kiawah Island Club?s Cassique course in Kiawah Island, S.C. Keith Williams (English Golf Union) and Peter Mattsson (Swedish Golf Union) will coach the European squad.

 

The European team will consist of Alejandro Ca?izares and Gonzalo Casta?o of Spain; Sweden?s P?r Nilsson and Wilhelm Schauman; and David Inglis, David Price, David Skinns and Oliver Wilson of the United Kingdom. Ca?izares (Arizona State), Inglis (Tulsa), Nilsson (Oklahoma State), Schauman (Minnesota), Skinns (Tennessee) and Wilson (Augusta State) compete collegiately in the United States.

 

 

The U.S. team leads the Palmer Cup Series, 4-1-1, and has won all three matches in the United States.
