The 2001-02 Softspikes Freshman of the Year award recipient is Ryan King of Cameron University. King finished tied for 18th at the NCAA Championship and was named to the Softspikes All-Freshman Team prior to nationals.

J.J. Jakovac of Chico State earned the 2002 Arnold Palmer Award by finishing first individually at the NCAA Championships. Jakovac qualified for the NCAA Championships as an individual, and was named CCAA Player of the Year.

Rob Oppenheim, a senior from Rollins College was named 2001-02 Division II Player of the Year. Oppenheim, who represented the U.S. in the USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship last summer, is currently ranked 14th in the Golfstat Cup standings. The standings rank golfers in all divisions based on their adjusted scoring averages. Oppenheim is the top non-Division I player in the rankings.

Finally, the 2001-02 PING All-America teams were selected. Players receive PING All-America honors for outstanding play over the course of the entire season. The PING All-America team selections are:
