NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State will open the season ranked No. 1 in the preseason Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The host of this season’s NCAA Championships, the Cowboys collected seven first-place votes.

Vanderbilt, the top-ranked team in last season’s final regular season poll, was second with four first-place votes. Defending national champion Oklahoma received 10 first-place votes and ranked third. Baylor joined the Oklahoma squads as three Big 12 teams ranked in the preseason top four. No. 5 Illinois tallied the remaining first-place ballot. Texas ranked sixth while LSU, Southern California, Oregon and Florida completed the top 10.

The next Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Polls will be released September 29.
