NEW YORK, NY (MAY 14, 2014) — The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division I College Coaches’ Poll of the Spring 2014 season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Division II and NJCAA Division II, will appear in the May 19, 2014 issue of Golf World. With seven victories on the season entering this week’s NCAA Regional play, Alabama held on to the top spot in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division I men’s coaches’ poll.

The Crimson Tide, which earned 19 of the 20 available first-place votes, now take aim at trying to defend their NCAA title from 2013 as they play as the top seed at the Auburn Regional May 15-17.

Off its victory at the Pac-12 Championship, Stanford jumped to the No. 2 spot in the latest poll. The Cardinal are led by NCAA player-of-the-year candidates Patrick Rodgers and Cameron Wilson as they prepare to play at the Eugene Regional this weekend.

ACC champion Georgia Tech held on to its No. 3 spot with Oklahoma State and California rounding out the top five.

One new program moved into the top 10: No. 8 Washington, runner-up at the Pac-12 Championship.

No new schools joined the top 25.
