(NEW YORK, NY)—The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources ofGolf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the September 30, 2013 issue of Golf World. Methodist University jumped up two spots to claim the No. 1 ranking in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf men's Division III coaches' poll.

The Monarchs claimed six of 16 available first-place votes to ascend to the top spot.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was one of five other schools to earn first-place votes, receiving three, as the Stags moved into the No. 2 spot.

Emory and UT-Tyler, both earning one first-place votes, fell into place at No. 3 and 5, with La Verne rounding out the top five.

The other two programs to earn first-place votes were Oglethorpe, which tied for No. 7 in the ranking, and Rhodes, which came in No. 11 after being unranked in the preseason poll.

Preseason No. 1 Transylvania fell to No. 6 after finishing fourth in its first two starts of the 2013-14 season.

Along with Rhodes, No. 20 Berry joined the top 25.
