NEW YORK (February 26, 2014) — The first Golf World/Nike Golf NJCAA Division II College Coaches’ Poll of the Spring 2014 season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA Division I will appear in the March 3, 2014 issue of Golf World. South Mountain remained the No. 1 program in the first spring edition of the Golf World/Nike Golf men's NJCAA Division II college coaches' poll.

The Cougars started the spring with a victory at the South Mountain Invitational, followed by a second place finish at the Glendale CC Invitational.

South Mountain split the first place votes with Walters State, who will start their spring season in March at the Tusculum College Spring Invitational.

Owens (#3) and Mesa (#5) were new entries into the top-5, while Southeast CC was the only new team in the ranking at #T10 .
