Jimmy Stobs has coached Barry University to three NCAA Division II Championships in his 12 seasons as head coach (2007, 2013, 2014).

He was named the National Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2013. In 2014, his team won a school-record eight tournaments, including the Sunshine State Conference Championships and NCAA Super Regional.

Stobs is the only coach in college golf to have won a national title in both the stroke play-only and match play formats.

Stobs was named the SSC Coach of the Year in 2014, in addition to the South Region Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career. He has coached 24 Golf Coaches Association of America All-Americans and 15 Scholar All-Americans. His teams also have been recognized as All Academic for five straight years.

He coached the 2014 NCAA Division II Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Adam Svensson, who won a school-record seven titles in 2013-14 and broke a school record with a 70.05 scoring average.

Stobs played professional golf for 10 years and won 25 tournaments on numerous tours including the 1998 Florida Open. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida Atlantic University, and is married to the former Carrie Santis.
