(NEW YORK, NY) — The 2012 season's first Golf World/Nike Golf Division III College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the March 5, 2012 issue of Golf World. On the strength of two fall tournament wins, Guilford kept its hold on the No. 1 ranking in the first spring edition of the Golf World/Nike Golf Division III men’s coaches’ poll.

The Quakers also claimed their spring opener, winning the Pine Needles Intercollegiate after voting closed on the poll.

Illinois Wesleyan stay in the No. 2 spot, with No. 3 Methodist and No. 4 UT-Tyler swapping spots from the previous poll. Rounding out the top five was Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Transylvania was the only new program to enter the top-10, claiming a share of the 10th spot with Huntingdon. No. 25 Mary Hardin-Baylor was the only new program to make its way into the top 25.
