(NEW YORK, NY) — The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division III College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf Worldmagazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the April 30, 2012 issue of Golf World.  With five victories this season, Methodist maintained its No. 1 ranking in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf men’s Division III coaches’ poll.

The Monarchs earned 16 of the 17 available first-place votes as they prepare to compete in the NCAA postseason.

Rising to No. 2 in the poll is Oglethorpe, thanks to three straight runner-up performances after beginning the spring campaign with a victory at the Wynlakes Wynter Nationals.

Rounding out the top five are Guilford, which earned the remaining first-place vote, UT-Tyler and Redlands.

LaVerne, jumping from No. 13 to No. 10, is the lone new program in the top 10. New to the top 25 is No. 24 Nebraska Wesleyan.
