(NEW YORK, NY) — The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division I College Coaches’ Poll has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions II, III, NAIA and NJCAA will appear in the April 30, 2012 issue of Golf World.  Texas retained the top spot in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf men’s Division I coaches’ poll, earning 15 of the 18 available first-place votes.

Having played 11 events this season as they prepare to compete in the Big 12 Championship next week, the Longhorns have won seven team titles and finished in the top five in nine starts. UT freshman Jordan Spieth and senior Dylan Frittelli are ranked 1 and 2 in the most recent Golfstat Cup standings.

Moving up one spot is Auburn to the No. 2 position, with Alabama falling one place to No. 3. The voting for the poll closed, however, prior to Alabama’s victory over Auburn at the SEC Championship.

Rounding out the top five are UCLA and California.

Joining the top 10 this week are Stanford at No. 9 and Georgia Tech at No. 10. The Cardinal finished third and second, respectively, at the U.S. Intercollegiate and Western Intercollegiate events, while the Yellow Jackets claimed the team title at the ACC Championship over the weekend, their sixth in seven years.

No new teams joined the top 25.
