NEW YORK, NY—The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the May 2, 2011 issue of Golf World. Guilford, with 10 of the 16 available first-place votes, maintained its No. 1 ranking in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division III men’s coaches’ poll.

The Quakers won their fifth team title of the season last week with their victory at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship as they prepare for the NCAA postseason.

Saint John’s of Minnesota moved from third to second in the latest poll, earning five first-place votes to go with their five team titles. Methodist dropped one place to No. 3, with Greensboro holding on to its No. 4 ranking and grabbing the last first-place vote. Illinois Wesleyan rounds out the top five after being ranked No. 7 in this previous poll.

One new program appears in the top 10: No. 10 Emory. Likewise, one new program joins the top 25: No. 18 Millikin.
