NEW YORK, NY—The first Golf World/NIKE Golf NAIA Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, along with the NJCAA poll, will appear in the February 28, 2011 issue of Golf World.  Indian Hills Community College earned the honor of the No. 1 ranking in the first Golf World/NIKE Golf NJCAA coaches’ poll.

The Warriors claimed six of the eight first-place votes available, thanks to a sixth-place showing at the UST Mamiya Texas Intercollegiate, the best finish of any two-year program in the field, and a victory at the John A. Logan Invitational.

In the Nos. 2 and 3 spots are Odessa and Central Alabama, which claimed the other two first-place votes. Rounding out the top five are Central Alabama, Meridian and Brevard.
