NEW YORK, NY—The latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, III and the NAIA, will appear in the March 16, 2011 issue of Golf World. Chico State claimed just two of the 15 first-place votes available in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division II men’s coaches’ poll, but maintained the No. 1 ranking in the most recent poll.

The Wildcats have yet to finish worse than second in any of their six tournaments starts, winning two team titles (including the NCAA Division II Preview) during the 2010-11 season.

Western Washington, with six first-place votes, and Lynn, with four, also held firm to the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the poll. No. 4 West Florida moved up one place from earlier this spring, and No. 5 Central Oklahoma crept into the top five, the Bronchos having won five tournament titles this season.

One new school joined the top 10, Barton moving from 19th to No. 10 in the poll. One new school also joined the top 25: No. 22 Armstrong Atlantic.
